The United Bank of India (UBI) is a public sector bank established in 1950 with its headquarters in Kolkata. The Bank was formed as a result of the amalgamation of four Bengali banks namely, Comilla Banking Corporation and Bengal Central Bank, Comilla Union Bank and Hooghly Bank.
Although the Bank had a nationwide presence, its major presence was in Eastern India. On 1st April 2020, the United Bank of India merged with Oriental Bank of Commerce and Punjab National Bank, making it the second-largest public sector bank in India.

It has made a significant process in adopting the various technologies so that it could transform itself into a techno-savvy bank.
